What we prepare for
From the next topic to the next paper.
Concepts, data, application and open-ended answers
Regular preparation shaped around the next school milestone
From school scope to weekly practice
This is how an exam topic becomes an Ottodot lesson.
The lesson and game work on the same learning goal. Your child first sees how to answer it, then has a reason to practise it.
- 01Choose the focus
Start with the school topic
The WA scope, recent work or a weak area tells the teacher what needs attention now.
- 02Teacher-led
Recall it, then learn the method
A short recap brings the concept back. The teacher then models how to handle the exam question.
- 03Game-powered
Apply the same concept in Roblox
The custom game turns the explanation into active practice. It is part of the lesson, not a separate activity.
- 04Feedback
Use mistakes to plan the next review
The teacher closes the loop with corrections and a clear idea of what should come back next time.

The connection, subject by subject
Each game practises the exam skill taught in class.
The game is not a reward added at the end. It gives students another way to use the method, concept or explanation they just learned.

Primary Math
Learn the method, then practise choosing and using it.
- The teacher breaks down multi-step and mixed-topic questions
- The game repeats the decision-making without another worksheet drill
- Written practice checks the working, accuracy and final answer

Primary Science
Learn the concept, then test it in a new situation.
- The teacher connects diagrams, evidence and the question being asked
- The game checks whether the concept transfers to a fresh scenario
- Written feedback helps shape clearer open-ended answers
Steady support from real teachers
Progress starts with showing up and doing the work.
Results differ by student. These examples are parent-reported outcomes, not score guarantees.

Questions parents ask about exam preparation
What is a weighted assessment in primary school?
It is a shorter school-based assessment used from P3 onward. It may be a topical paper, short-answer task, open-ended question or another assessed activity completed during the school term.
How much does each weighted assessment count?
There is no universal percentage. The number of assessments, their weightings and how they contribute to the year-end result differ by school and level. Your school assessment handbook or notice is the right source for the exact breakdown.
Does every school test the same WA topics?
No. Dates, formats and scope can differ. Ottodot follows the Singapore MOE Math and Science syllabus, while teachers use your child’s level, recent work and school scope to keep practice relevant.
Is this suitable for P3 to P6 students?
Yes. P3 to P5 students can build readiness for weighted assessments and year-end exams. P6 students can use the same steady practice approach for prelims and PSLE. P1 and P2 students do not sit weighted assessments.
Is the lesson just playing Roblox?
No. The lesson is teacher-led. Roblox is used after explanation and guided practice as an interactive way to apply the same Math or Science concept. Written work and feedback remain part of the learning process.
Will my child definitely improve their score?
No programme can guarantee a particular score. The trial lets the teacher observe your child’s current approach and helps you assess whether Ottodot’s teaching, practice and feedback model is a suitable fit.
